Patton McDowell and Associates, a consulting firm for nonprofits, recently worked with Novant Health to find a new Executive Director for the Forsyth Medical Center. After previous work in the area, Novant Health approached Patton McDowell & Associates (PMA) in January for help with the position search. Firm President Patton McDowell and Associate Director David Ibsen offered search advisory services for this collaborative effort.
We are pleased to announce that Norman Jameson joined Novant Health on May 28 as executive director for the Novant Health Foundation Forsyth Medical Center (FMC). The foundation raises funds from individuals, corporations and other foundations to support patient and family services provided at the medical center, as well as healthy living programs in the communities served by Novant Health. Norman will direct all fundraising and community activities for the FMC Foundation and will work closely with the foundation leaders at Novant Health Kernersville Medical Center and Novant Health Clemmons Medical Center.
Norman brings extensive experience in fundraising and communication roles, including as assistant dean for development at Wake Forest University School of Divinity and as a consultant for Capital Development Services, where he worked with clients to develop and implement capital campaigns and grant proposals to support organizations such as hospice, community colleges, children’s homes, food banks, and community health organizations in metropolitan areas such as in New Orleans and Washington, DC.
Norman holds a bachelor’s degree from in journalism from Oklahoma Baptist University and a master of divinity degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is also a U.S. Army veteran.
