2011 National Philanthropy Day Award Honorees

Mayor Anthony Foxx proclaims November 15 National Philanthropy Day® in Charlotte. National Philanthropy Day® (NPD) is the special day set aside to recognize and pay tribute to the great contributions that philanthropy—and those people active in the philanthropic community—have made to our lives, our communities and our world.

“National Philanthropy Day® gives us the opportunity to pay tribute to the contributions that philanthropy and philanthropists have made in Charlotte,” says Stephanie Stenglein, an AFP board member and chair of the 2011 awards luncheon. “We are very excited to be able to recognize this year’s honorees for all that they have done.”
